GMC Luncheon and Excercise Class
Everyone had a lot of fun at the GMC Luncheon. There was a delicious meal and a wonderful chair exercise demonstration.
Region 8 NC Baptists Mission Rally

On July 16th members of FBC, their friends, and their families completed an outdoor walk at Lake James State Park
FBC Fun Day
On June 17th, FBC hosted a Fun Day with live music, lunch, an ice cream social, and games for all ages
Valdese Lakeside Park Outdoor Walk
On June 4th, some of our members & friends met at Valdese Lakeside Park for a guided outdoor walk.
Soup & Salad Meal
The FBC Youth Ministry hosted a Soup & Salad meal following worship on May 7th. All proceeds from this meal were put towards the Youth Mission Trip for this summer.
Easter Sunday
Butterfly Release
One of the most beloved traditions here at First Baptist is the annual Easter Sunday butterfly release! So thankful that it was warm enough for the butterflies to emerge.
Easter Egg Hunt
Due to the rain, the 2023 Easter Egg Hunt was held indoors. It started with a bible story in the sanctuary, led by Mrs. Carolyn Little, and then the egg hunt and scavenger hunt spread throughout the church. A pizza lunch was enjoyed by all.
GMC Valentine's Day Luncheon
The GMC Valentine's Day Luncheon was a hit! Everyone enjoyed the lovely music by Debbie Burleson (vocals) and Susan Hadden (piano), and had fun playing the Wedding Photo Guessing Game. Thankful for this time of fun and fellowship!
Polar Express Movie Night
Pastor Mike hosted a Polar Express Movie Night in the FBC Fellowship Hall. Guests dressed in their pajamas and enjoyed hot cocoa, pop corn, and homemade cookies while watching the movie. There was a surprise visit from Santa Claus and his elf helper.
